Blades & Knives
Shear Blades , Machine Knives and Cutters

We offer   blades, knives and cutters for various industries.

Salient Features:

  • Tested Raw material
  • Controlled Heat treatment cycles
  • Precision machined and ground
  • Close tolerances
  • Tailor made to suit application and as per requirements

Critical Features :

  • Hardness
  • Compression Strength
  • Wear Resistance
  • Long Cutting Life
  • Close Tolerances

Blades and Knives are heat treated in Electric Muffle Furnace / Salt Bath, fitted with periodically calibrated temperature controllers. Furnaces are designed so as to maintain uniform temperature throughout the sections. Tempering cycles are carried out in furnaces having forced air circulation facility to ensure uniform heating throughout Blades & Knives. Thorough quality checks are maintained from the stage of raw material until dispatch. Blades are ultrasonically tested when the raw material is specially forged for the sizes.

The materials generally used for manufacture are:

  1. High Carbon High Chromium Steel :(HCHCr) AISI -D3

AISI-D3 is used for cutting cellulose, fiber boards, papers and plastic etc. nonferrous alloy & mild steel up to 5 mm. Thickness.

  2. High Carbon High Chromium Steel:(HCHCr) AISI -D2

AISI-D2 or D3 is suitable to shear M.S. upto 8 mm thickness and S.S. upto 5 mm thickness

  3. Shock Resistance Steel : as per ANSI S1,S2, S3 grades

This material is generally used for cutting mild steel above 8 mm & stainless steel above 5 mm. Thickness.

  4. Hot Die Steel :

This Material is used for hot shearing of ferrous Billets, Bars, Rods, etc. It is also used for M.S. above 15mm thickness.

  5. High Speed Steel :

This material is preferred for cutting tougher steels, sticky nonferrous alloy & aluminum alloys.
