Tungsten Copper

It is a very special material that is formed to combine High conductive property of Copper and high mechanical wear and erosion and arc resistance property of tungsten. With the increase of tungsten content the conductivity drops. Common grades have copper content between 25 to 50 %. The content also decides the machinabilty properties.

This group of material finds applications where high voltage and current are encountered

Typical properties of group of alloy (25 to 50% tungsten) fall in following band(Nominal Indicative Values mentioned.)

Density : 12 - 15
Hardness : 120 - 220 HV10
Electric conductivity : 29 - 45 % IACS
Supply Condition : Rods, Flats, Machined components as per drawings.
